This is my second Macbook and am equally pleased with this one. It just works, no updates which slow the machine down, it just works quickly and effortlessly. Battery seems to go on forever, is very fast and a great size which makes it much more portable than the 15" equivalent. I switched from a PC a few years ago now and have not regretted it. Great buy.

Well packaged and arrived quickly. Ok Review time. This is the first Mac that we (My wife and I) have ever owned. Takes a bit of getting used to and I don't know if it's better than Windows at this stage. I'm sure it's a great machine and does everything that windows can do, but takes a bit of practice and playing around with (As you do) to find out. Layout of the keyboard is well thought out as the spacing between the letters is designed in a way that you don't hit the wrong key by accident. It's practical also BUT DOESN'T FEEL SMALL which is surprising as it's only a 13" screen. Measurement of the screen horizontally is just shy of one foot and height is just over 7". Obviously the width of the Mac is over that but as it's the screen size that's important. Maybe an important feature (I don't know) is that the keyboard lights up when in use....could be useful in bed whilst your partner is asleep and you don't want to disturb then too much. It is also very quiet; there's no noisy fans etc....Unless you're playing a movie or listening to itunes through the built in speakers.
It also feels robust and heavy for it's size and you can tell it's not made from plastic. It also looks good, but visit any Apple store or Stormfront and you'll see that.
My advice would be to visit one of those stores and play around with the machine just to get a feel of what it's like and I'm sure if you're an iphone or ipad person then this is the laptop for you as it's got everything that they offer and more.

This is by far the best product ive ever brought, I just turned 20 and ive never owned a laptop personally but i brought this one for University. I never knew computers could operate like this coming from a Windows background. Everything just feels smooth and effortless. The computer is so powerful, i think anything besides Hd games it would handle with ease although i havent tried so maybe it can. it goes from off to desktop in less than 10 seconds for me. currently im playing an album, Avatar is running in the background at 1080p, talking to a friend on Skype with the camera on, im doing my coursework on Dreamweaver cs5 and im using wireless LAN to write this review, this is all without a charger and its tellin me ive got just over 5 hours left. I havent even experienced lag of any kind. Any app i open is on instantly, it just does what you want when you want.

The mac OS is amazing, everything is just there no going through folders or files, you use spotlight to type in the name of what you want, if its a movie for instance it will begin playing it for you to give you a preview so you know if its what you were looking for. Spotlight even searches through your online mail, that includes attachments and it even shows them to you before you open them. You could access almost everything from a instant feedback searchbar. I know i sound like an apple fanboy but i dont care i could see myself using this same computer for the rest of my life, its absolutely amazing.

Forget about price, for 1000 your getting your money's worth with this thing. Everything is effortless and smooth and nicely presented....if you take care of it, i could see you using it for a very long time.
